In Brooklyn, Dressed Like a Bear

Henry took his first trip to the borough of Brooklyn Saturday night. We attended Daniel’s 5th Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner. Daniel is our friend Mimi’s husband. Mimi is still in Japan (we missed her) so it was nice of Daniel to include her friends. Henry wore his bear coat for the trip on the way, of which there has been some debate. Mom thinks the bear coat is super cute and dad thinks Henry will someday resent her for dressing him in this kind of thing. Anyway, back to Henry’s first trip to Brooklyn. Despite his uncharacteristic fussiness most of the day, he behaved really well once we got to the dinner. By behaved really well, this means he slept most of the time. He really needed it. Thanks to Daniel for the great food and hospitality.

  1. There’s not really a debate about bear costumes—they’re definitely a sharp look. Just saying you can’t ALWAYS show up wearing one in every situation thinking it’s cool, that’s all. And Henry hasn’t developed his own fashion sense, so he relies on us to keep it fresh.

Edit: Henry now owns no less than THREE bear suits, not counting bearish-eared hats!

    • I loved Henry in his bear suit. No surprise there, right, since I love him in everything! Wow, 3 bear suits, he’s a wealthy young man. Well, I guess I won’t get him one for Christmas! How about an elf suit? Not that I’ve seen one, but if I do, I prob. won’t be able to stop myself!

  2. Super cute pictures of everyone. It’s fun to look at Henry from different angles, he is growing and changing so much every day. The bear coat, I have to agree, is adorable now but probably won’t be to him as he gets older. Am I right Olivia?

    • I know Kathy, he changes so much every day. It is unbelievable. I see a lot of girls still wearing leg-warmers, so apparently, they are still pretty cool. Ha ha.

      • Mae lives in leg warmers, but I have yet to add the headband, I am saving it for ‘picture day’ ha ha….Jackets. So funny.
