Mae’s Weekend in New York

Mae’s weekend in New York was a busy one. Thursday, we ate snacks from the Wafels & Dinges cart and walked on the Brooklyn Bridge. This was also Henry’s first time on the bridge. Friday, we ate lunch at Takahachi Bakery (Gram’s favorite place), and took a walk to SoHo. Julie wanted to go to a few stores in the area. We stopped in at Henry’s daycare so Mae and Julie could meet MaryEllen and see where Henry spends his days. Saturday, Mae met her aunt Katie (Zana) who attends Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. We all ate dinner at Julie’s favorite Bourdain restaurant, Les Halles. It was a fun few days and we were really sad to see cousin Mae and Aunt Juj go early Sunday morning. The apartment seemed even more full of life with two babies. We hope to see them again very soon.

  1. How sweet to see you two and your precious little ones together. I’m so glad you got to spend some time having fun, Henry and Mae looked like they had a blast trying to get their coordination just right to make a little “contact.” Sweet pictures and videos! Thanks

  2. So great seeing these two tiny cousins together, absolutely adorable. So glad the two sisters and their sweet babies, who live so far apart, got to spend some quality time together. Looks like ya’ll had a wonderful time, and I hope Henry and Mae will be close as they grow up. They’re both such beautiful babies.

  3. I was going back over the older posts tonite and just had to add: in the photo called “Henry eating” Jacqui looks so young, like a teen-age mom, and she has such a beautiful smile ! Love ya’ll a bunch!
