Today I adjusted Henry’s crib to its toddler bed position in the hopes of making it more appealing to him for bedtime. Actually Henry “helped” with the conversion by wielding the screwdriver (causing Jacqui a lot of stress) so now he seems to have a stake in the project and for this first night at least, is using it.
The past few Saturdays, Mark has been working late into the night. Since our little office area was moved into the master bedroom, Henry and I have moved to the pull-out couch on a couple of these late nights. This past weekend was our second slumber party in a row. He is a pretty good slumber buddy so far. He falls right asleep and I can catch up on some much-needed (wink, wink) TV watching.
Henry seems to be afraid of missing something when he goes to bed and sometimes he has a little bit of trouble fully letting go and resting. It takes a bit of effort to get him to sleep, but I can’t complain because he sleeps through the night for the most part. This is me trying to get Henry to stop squirming and go to sleep. Most times, he will get pretty exhausted and finally close his eyes. I don’t mind, there is nothing like rocking a baby to sleep.
