Henry has known Stella and Halsey for about two years now. Halsey and him get picked up from daycare at the same time so they started holding hands and walking to the corner together. At each parting they hug and say their goodbyes and Henry usually says “no, come back” as he watches Halsey walk away.

Henry had a play date with his friend Stella. The pair seems to enjoy reading and can often be seen sitting together, flipping through books. Of course, being two-year-olds, they can also be seen screaming and laughing at each other. Other than a big bump on Stella’s head from an accidental fall (not shown in photos), the play date went very well.

Stella, one of Henry’s friends from daycare, celebrated her second birthday yesterday. Henry was happy to partake in cupcakes, balloons and rolling in bed with books.
Henry may be under the impression that this is the story of “Scratch,” the cartoon bull on the cover.
Today was a cold, wet one with a mixture of snow and rain falling throughout, so we spent some time at the local library.
We took a short walk to Pier 25 where the LILAC Steamship is docked and for a limited time is host to a floating library.

Henry had a laid back Tuesday with a visit from our neighbor, Gabe and two trips to the sprinklers. He has enjoyed playing with the new dump trucks Aunt Juj and Cousin Mae sent to us over the weekend.

Henry, Ona, and I had another relatively low-key day walking in the neighborhood, visiting the library, napping, and dinner at Shake Shack (Ona’s favorite burgers). Henry also received his Valentine’s Day card from his Paw Paw today, to which he exclaimed a heartfelt “ohhhhhh” (picture below).
We will be sad to see our Ona leave tomorrow. She will be heading off to college in the fall, so this visit seemed more special.

Another freezing day in New York meant we were not able to do too much. Ona got a haircut and the two of us were able to have a nice lunch together while Mark watched Henry. We all spent a bit of time at Barnes and Noble so Henry could roam and read and then I made dinner. Nothing to write home about, but nice to be together for the day.
