We got a nice Valentine’s surprise from Aunt Juj and Cousin Mae, lots of homemade heart doilies and comic books. We hung the doilies on Henry’s window so Henry could look at them all day. Grandma Lois also sent Henry a few Valentine’s Day themed books and he received a card from Aunt Carol. He loves receiving packages and was really excited about all the gifts.

More highlights from Henry’s and my trip to Wyoming are seen in this photo gallery. Henry was able to visit most people in my family and everyone really enjoyed seeing him again, especially since he got really sick last time we visited (before he was one year’s old).

Grandma Lois went back to Houston today after her visit. Henry enjoyed having her on hand to teach him new words and then illustrate them for him to color. We’ll all miss her but hope to see her again soon.
A farewell hug for Grandma Lois
Grandma Lois watched Henry for a few hours while Jacqui and I went to see the movie, “Boyhood”. When we returned we found them napping together in his room.
Grandma Lois arrived from Houston today for a visit with her favorite (and only) grandson.
Henry still enjoys taking photos including these portrait shots of his mom and grandmother:

We returned home yesterday after our visit to New Orleans. It was a fun trip and especially nice for Henry to meet family members he hadn’t yet and to spend time with everyone in his ancestral home. Thanks to all who hosted and helped us celebrate. Here are more photos:
