We celebrated Henry’s third birthday in much the same way we celebrated last year, with a party at the local playground in Washington Market Park. This year Henry was able to celebrate with his grand-dad too.

Henry met a new friend named Brandon at the playground today. They ended up hitting it off, laughing, running around, playing with their cars. Brandon is not from the neighborhood so Henry enjoyed showing him some other hangouts (playgrounds). Both boys were disappointed when we had to call it a day, but we hope to meet up with him (and parents) again sometime soon.

As we have mentioned before, we have great parks right in our neighborhood, but sometimes we like to venture to different areas and parks in the city, just for fun. Yesterday we went to the Lower East Side to Seward Park. It is a big, spacious area and Henry loved exploring and climbing, as always.
Petting the dog….
And riding him too.
A leftover from Shannon’s visit. (They did this for hours.)
Elle, another of Henry’s friends from daycare, celebrated her birthday at Adam Yauch Park in Brooklyn on Saturday.

Last September we took Henry to Hippo Playground in Riverside Park on a visit to our old neighborhood. Yesterday we rode our bicycles on the West Side bike path and stopped at the playground for another visit.
