Henry can’t spell yet, so he uses these magnetic letters to make little pictographic figures instead.

Colm watched Henry for awhile tonight and when Jacqui and I returned we found that they’d made little totemic representations of friends and family out of building blocks and puzzle pieces.
Maybe I’m succumbing to the sort of parental pride that skews perception, but the other day I was impressed to see that when Henry said he made Superman out of Duplo building blocks, it was actually a pretty recognizable, minimalist abstraction of Superman.
